Job Purpose:
The Procurement Manager will play a key role in managing both tactical and strategic sourcing activities to support operational needs and long-term objectives. This role requires expertise in supplier relationship management, negotiation, and procurement strategy to optimize costs, ensure material availability, and maintain quality standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, driven to meet OKRs, and skilled in fostering collaborative partnerships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Tactical Responsibilities
• Day-to-Day Procurement: Execute purchase orders based on demand planning (MRP Purchase Requests) and forecast to maintain inventory levels and avoid disruptions.
• Supplier Management: Monitor and manage supplier performance on delivery, quality, and service, providing timely feedback and resolution for any issues. define suppliers required KPIs.
• Cost Management: Negotiate pricing and payment terms with suppliers to achieve optimal cost savings, balancing budget constraints with quality and availability.
• Order Management: Track orders and ensure on-time delivery, expediting or adjusting order quantities as required to meet production schedules.
• Risk Mitigation: Work with suppliers to address short-term supply risks and resolve material shortages.
Strategic Responsibilities
• Supplier Relationship Development: Establish long-term, collaborative relationships with key suppliers, fostering mutual growth and ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Category Strategy Development: Contribute to category strategies by conducting market analysis, benchmarking, and developing sourcing strategies for critical spend areas.
• Cost Reduction Initiatives: Identify cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing, process improvements, and supplier innovation.
• Supplier Performance Management: Establish KPIs with suppliers and conduct regular performance reviews, implementing continuous improvement initiatives to drive supplier quality and efficiency.
• Contract Management: Support contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and conditions that mitigate risks and promote sustainable relationships.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams, including planning, finance, quality, and R&D, to ensure sourcing aligns with company objectives and operational requirements.
